Gaps at Eaves and Ridges
For metal roofing sheets to be completely weatherproofed, gaps under the sheets at the eaves and on top of the sheets at the ridges must be sealed. This can be done using foam fillers with matching sheet profiles. Of course, if you want ventilation, you can leave the foam fillers out.
Filling The Gaps In Roof Sheets
An eaves foam filler is designed to go under a sheet, while an opposite ridge foam filler is designed to go over a sheet at the top of a roof. All Cladco foam fillers should be bonded to the sheeting with a flexible, waterproof silicone sealant and laid over the entire width of the sheeting. This silicone bonding will add an extra layer of protection when filling in gaps and, if done correctly, will ensure nothing can get through the gaps.
