Durable Coatings

As a roofing sheet material, steel has long been used and has the added benefit of being recyclable. To produce our pre-coated sheets, a system of multi-layer coatings is applied to the zinc-coated high tensile steel strip and then oven-cured to ensure optimum adhesion. This gives corrugated sheets with excellent corrosion resistance and climatic protection together with abrasion resistance and a strong structure.

    Coating Options
    PVC Plastisol

PVC plastisol coated sheeting is manufactured from a pre-finished steel sheet with a 200-micron thick coating of high-quality, PVC plastisol, featuring an embossed leather grain finish.

This coating improves the longevity of the sheet and adds a lifespan of approximately 15-25 years to the first maintenance or repaint, with a life in excess of 40 years in normal environments. PVC plastisol also improves the sheet's resistance to scratching and external damage. PVC Plastisol colour chart

    Polyester Paint

Polyester paint coated sheeting is manufactured from a 25-micron thick, smooth enamel-coated steel sheet, which is economical to use and gives excellent weather resistance. This coating has longevity of typically 8 to 12 years to the first maintenance or repaint, with a life in excess of 20 years in normal environments.

We provide a variety of five colours in our polyester paint coating, where choice and aesthetic appeal can be matched to environmental and performance requirements. These colours include: Slate Blue, Juniper Green, White, Black and Light Grey.

    Galvanised

The coated steel strip we form into roofing sheet profiles and flashings is produced by leading suppliers, giving us control over the quality and traceability of the material we use. To produce high-quality, pre-coated sheeting, a system of multi-layered coatings is applied to a zinc-coated, high-tensile steel strip and oven-cured to ensure optimum adhesion. Dripstop Anti-Condensation

Cladco corrugated roofing sheets are also available with dripstop condensation control - a proven solution to preventing drips from forming on the underside of your roofing sheets, especially in conditions of high humidity.

What is dripstop? Dripstop is an anti-condensation adhesive felt membrane that is applied to all our roofing sheets during the manufacturing process.

How Many Sheets Do I Need?

We don’t want to leave you guessing on how many sheets you will need to order, especially if you are encountering your first roofing project using 13/3 corrugated roofing sheets. Providing a 990mm width coverage once installed, it's important to order the right number of sheets for your project.

Our handy roofing sheet calculator will guide you through how many sheets to order, as well as what potential flashings and accessories you may need. Our calculator will also provide you with the total cost of your upcoming project.

    Installing Your Corrugated Sheets

Providing you with great products you can work with is one thing but having the right guidance and know-how to complete the job relies on the best help and advice.

For a single-pitch roof, the minimum pitch we recommend is 10 degrees. Laying metal sheets in runs is normally the ideal way to achieve the best start to your roofing project. We recommend starting at the eaves and in the corner away from the direction of the prevailing wind (if it’s a single-Sheet run).

For more information and further installation help and advice, take a look at our corrugated sheet installation guide or our roofing help and advice page.

    Additional Materials

Roof flashings are used to finish the ends and corners of a run of corrugated roof sheets, helping to protect your building against water intrusion as well as being an integral component of your corrugated roof. Flashings are also a good way to enhance the aesthetics of your project.

Additionally, we stock a selection of roofing accessories and purlins that complement and support your roof, helping to achieve a professional and durable finish. Accessories include screws, screw caps, foam fillers and more.

    Corrugated Roof Lights

Cladco 13/3 corrugated GRP roof lights are manufactured from translucent heavy-duty 1.5mm thick GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) materials and will let in daylight through at a transmission rate of over 80%.

Their width and profile match that of our 13/3 corrugated metal roof sheets, ensuring these translucent roof light panels can be installed seamlessly together with the 13/3 corrugated roof sheets. GRP translucent roof lights are available in lengths of 2.5m, 3m and 3.5m.

    FAQs

What are the benefits of a corrugated roof?

Corrugated metal roofing sheets are available in up to 12 colours with three coatings, and are suitable for use on almost any agricultural, industrial and commercial project. They can be cut to custom lengths and provide a wider-than-average cover of 990mm when lapped.

What coating is best for my corrugated sheets?

If you are looking for the longest possible lifespan for your roofing sheets, we would recommend using PVC plastisol coating. For colour variation and aesthetic appeal with a longer lifespan than plain galvanised, we would recommend using our polyester paint coating.

What thickness of corrugated sheet is best for my project?

If used as a side cladding material, we recommend using a 0.5mm thickness for your sheets, as cladding does not need to carry any load-bearing weight as a roof sheet would. For roofing applications, we would recommend using either thickness depending on the surrounding weather conditions - for example, areas with high side winds will require a thicker sheet.

What is the width of your corrugated sheets?

The standard width of our sheets is 990mm when lapped.

How much do you overlap corrugated sheets?

During installation, we recommend fitting your corrugated roofing sheets with an overlap of at least two corrugations.

What degree of pitch can I use corrugated roofing sheets with?

The minimum degree of pitch we would recommend is 10 degrees.

These free samples were a great way to view the coatings. I ordered poly, pvc and greencoat pural and decided that I will go with pvc due to being scratch resistant.
