Cladco Heavy-Duty Weed Control Mat
Heavy-duty weed mats offer an effective alternative to a concrete base. Made from a breathable, woven material, these mats help prevent weeds and other unwanted plants from growing through the gaps between your decking boards and subframe - while still allowing water to drain through easily.
Cladco Heavy-Duty Weed Control Mats: A Tough Weed Control Solution
Cladco weed control mats are made from a solid, woven material featuring a cross-fibre polypropylene pattern. This breathable construction allows water and nutrients to drain through while preventing weeds from growing underneath your decking or landscaped areas.

How to Lay Your Cladco Weed Control Mat
Measure the Area:
Determine the area to be covered. Weed mats can be overlapped to avoid leaving gaps—this is strongly recommended for full coverage.
Prepare the Ground:
Fork over the soil and remove any existing weeds, debris, or stones to create a clean, level surface.
Lay the Mat:
Position the Cladco weed mat over the prepared ground. If overlapping, ensure sufficient coverage to block weed growth between layers.
Cover the Mat:
Once in place, cover the weed mat with your chosen material - such as chippings, bark, decorative stones, or gravel - to protect the fabric from sunlight and extend its lifespan.
Covering the mat also enhances long-term weed suppression and improves the overall appearance of your decking or landscaped area.
